After hearing countless stories from
friends and family about being harassed or even assaulted while walking their dogs, I wanted to create a solution that would empower women to walk their dogs confidently, day or night.

Carrying around a personal safety alarm while walking the dog wasn't the ideal solution. So, I teamed up with a close friend and together we brainstormed, designed, tested, and prototyped until we finally developed the Barkly leash. A dog leash that’s not only durable and practical but also equipped with built-in personal safety features to protect both dog walker and dog.

Because Barkly is a leash made by women, for women, we are deeply committed to doing our part in making the world a safer place for women like you, because we ARE you. And we understand you.
